Terms of Use BEHA Smartheater App

1. About the service

The BEHA Smartheater App and the associated cloud environment are provided by:

Beha Elektro AS (Norway) — manufacturer and owner of the Beha Heaters app · Alparom BV — official BEHAdistributor for the Benelux

The app makes it possible to remotely control compatible BEHAheaters via Wi-Fi, set schedules, monitor energy consumption, and manage multiple homes simultaneously.

2. Correct use of the app

When using the BEHA Smartheater App, we expect you to:

• The app is used exclusively for managing your own BEHAheaters or on behalf of the owner
• Does not share the login details with unauthorized persons
• Does not attempt to hack, modify, or reverse-engineer the app
• The app is not used for unlawful purposes
• Installs updates when they are made available

3. Updates and changes

Updates to the app and terms: We may modify these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, or the functionalities of the app from time to time. You will receive a notification in the app regarding significant changes.

Software and hardware updates: To improve the security, reliability, and performance of our products, BEHA may perform updates on connected devices. These updates are installed automatically unless you manually disable this.

4. Availability of the service

We strive to keep the app and cloud services available as reliably as possible. However, the service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance
• Unexpected technical problems
• Updates to the app or cloud services
• External causes beyond our control (such as internet outages)

Whenever possible, we will inform you in advance about planned interruptions.

5. Liability

Beha Elektro AS cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damage arising from:

• Misuse of the app
• Unavailability of the cloud service
• Internet outages or power failure
• Unauthorized access by third parties due to insufficient security on your part
• Damage to equipment due to incorrect installation

The BEHAheater itself is equipped with independent safety systems that remain fully functional even in the event of app failures.

6. Privacy and personal data

Beha Elektro AS processes personal data in accordance with applicable privacy legislation (AVG/GDPR). You can find more information about how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy.

By using the app, you consent to:

• Collecting necessary data for the operation of the app
• Collecting anonymous usage statistics for product improvement
• Sending service and safety notifications

7. Termination of use

By yourself: You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device. Your account in the cloud environment can be deactivated upon request.

By Beha Elektro AS: Beha Elektro AS may terminate your account when:

• You violate these terms and conditions
• There is abuse of the service
• Legal obligations require this
• The service is being discontinued (with prior notice)
